Many of the successful Global OEMs make long term investments in vehicle powertrains and platforms that support a planned model line-up and market share for the future. During the lifetime of these investments, many of the original assumptions will have changed resulting often in re-evaluation as time progresses.

CGI has unique industry knowledge to understand when these events will happen and works with the OEMs and developing markets to see if any of these IPR, assets, facilities could be deployed rather than scrapped, to give additional benefit to all.

In the case of OEMs agreeing new licensing deals on useful IPR, CGI can often re-configure existing aftermarket equipment (at a much lower cost) to allow new plants to come on-stream with a more economic budget obviously giving a much quicker Return on Investment (ROI).
